Minn Kota bowmount install
Hi Guys, After a bit of info from anyone who has installed a bow mounted electric on an aluminum runabout. I'll need to get a plate welded to the bow that projects forward of the bow so there's enough length in front of the windscreen. Looking for marine welder or fabricator in SE Melb, preferably M...

Re: Snapper PPB - What's your size reel?
My plastics rods have a 2500 stradic / 3000 daiwa ballistic and bait rod has a 4000 shimano exage with 10-15lb braid. I fish pretty light from the kayak, generally on 2-5kg or 3-6kg rods.

Re: Favourite Discontinued Lure
Most of the ones I use are still available so that's a good thing. Monster mikis would be one I'd love to see come back There's a double clutch colour that got discontinued that was meant to be the bees knees. Can't remeber what is called now. phantom would be my guess, have some presso's in it and...

Re: Gunnamatta - Busier than Bourke Street
I fished Gunna at the high tide yesterday arvo, wind was cross shore and it was pretty sloppy. Heaps of bait fishos lined along the beach and had to walk a fair way before I could start casting. Got to the end of the beach with only one fish before I found a school. Ended up with 14 or 15 fish in ha...

NW ain't great, especially if there is more west than north in it. Pretty much straight cross shore at 13-15kts it probably won't be nice.

Re: Does Trout Fishing Stop in Stocked Lakes When the Season has Ended
I’m aware that the closed season is when they are spawning but I still don’t know why a introduced species requires any protection. Because they are a desireable species both from a sporting and eating point of view and also co-exist with native species in many waterways. The whole native is good a...

Re: Daiwa Gen Black Travel rods
I've had a deep striker v1 for a few years and have been pretty happy with it. I like it because it's versatile, can cast hardbodies and small plastics, small metals and squid jigs. It casts small metals (5-10g) comfortably, much above that feels a little unbalanced. Pretty sure it's an extra fast t...
