Having pulled up a 3kg snapper on lighter gear on a charter and since seeing various fish to reference for size, I would estimate at least 5kg.

I must add, the charter snapper pales in comparison to the excitement levels. The fishing equivalent of painting by numbers.

I have a license and looking forward to landing my next 800lb fish!

Welcome Chops! There are loads of vids and bits of info about how to hook Soft Plastics on the net. This one specifically might be useful?
