Re: Heading out Kayaking - All welcome

No good on the Covid Sebb, I hope it wasn’t too bad. With any luck the stars might align and I’ll head out for an early morning fish off Clifton springs for calamari on Saturday. Anyone is welcome to join, I’ll probably launch around 15 mins before first light

Re: Heading out Kayaking - All welcome

Heading out Monday afternoon Clifton Springs, cheers! How did you go mate? Gave it a miss, wasn't worth risking it for a few fish seeing how hot it was. Yeah fair call, the hot days need to be an early morning for me. I just got back from Bermagui, I'm keen to get back into squidding when you’re up...

Re: Heading out Kayaking - All welcome

Good luck mate, if I weren’t working I’d join you. I won’t be able to fish until at least mid March, but should catch up then!

Re: Barwon Heads Boat Rescue & Drowning

Very sad indeed. If in doubt don’t go out, it’s better to be on land wishing you were on the water than to be on the water wishing you were on land. Well done to those that were able to assist.

Re: Heading out Kayaking - All welcome

Thanks for the feedback gentlemen. I’ve decided to refer to the incident as a Baptism 😜 I sacrificed some gear to the sea for better luck next time with some less expensive equipment on board. And I practiced my re-entry knowing I’m now capable of getting back on. Yes, you have sacrificed an offeri...

Wonder how it could get in to Australia.
You’d be surprised what some aquarium dealers will buy and sell to the right people

Re: Heading out Kayaking - All welcome

Lenny, no good you lost a good combo, years ago I lost my best outfit by knocking it over the side. Nowadays I run cheap sienna combos when fishing salt water. On a positive note, it is great that you remounted the kayak unassisted. A good reminder that I need to practice re-entry as it’s been a whi...
