A yachtie mate with a place at Newlands Arm just had a good look up around the Silt Jetties today - lotsa real murky/muddy water and floating debris. They're catching a few bream around the Arm but nothing like it was a couple of weeks ago when they were up there last. Salmon off the 90 mile opposit...

Re: Inflatable boats

Done a bit of research on this topic looking for a good quality (not plastic) inflatable. Best I found was 'Island Inflatables' - good range of sizes with both inflated and hard floors. They are becoming popular with the "big boaties" as tenders. Around a grand gets you into a 2.5m+ jobbie. You'll n...

Re: Terminal connectors

The snaps I am thinking of using can be seen at http://www.daiwafishing.com.au/8-snap/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; they are apparently used without a swivel. I got a cuppla packets from Ray & Annes Tackleshop - Gekkabijin 8 Snap. Very small about ...

Terminal connectors

Have always had some difficulty memorising knots !! - never was into scouting . . .
Read a post somewhere about moving away from swivels etc and am wondering if anyone is using clips and/or snaps to attach lures etc.
Things like the Daiwa Tournament 8-Snap or the Mustad snaps ?

Hi guys & girls

Making a return to "serious" hobby fishing after a number of years sailing and find this site to be a treasure trove of very useful information. I'm in Port Albert where we have plenty of bait fishing for flatties, whiting, gummies & snapper etc but I'm now looking to finesse things a little by tran...
