Re: Where to catch Bronzies landbased.
Recently heard that people are catching bronzies in the bay around black rock and not all that far out either. Is this for real? Can anyone either confirm or shoot down this report? I'd hate to think we get them so close to the bay beaches where a lot of people swim

Re: Spearing flatties & flounder
Great catch!! Would love to see a picture of your light and spear that you use. I went for my first attempt last week but was unsuccessful. Also, where about a were you catching them ? I'll get back to you on a pic of the gear but any underwater light and spear would do. Tried with headlamps a coup...

Not sure if it broke on the thrust into the fish or when I pulled it out but I guess the quality is really lacking. I treat the spe...

Re: Spearing flatties & flounder
Cheers guys. You'll see from that last photo the flathead almost got away! They're very quick.
I only see one or two legal flounder each trip and I'm moving slow and looking carefully. Never caught them on a hook either and I do try with SPs in the same areas I'm wading.

Spearing flatties & flounder
Hey guys, Went out strolling with a spear over a few nights recently and had a little success. Caught most at lower tides either on flats, sand bars and at the start of drop offs. All between the Brighton/Hampton rocks and Sandringham. Thinking about pushing further south for the next trip. There's ...
