Re: Tiagra vs Talica vs Saltiga
Thanks for the suggestions and advice. No real preference to run braid or mono, however, the general vibe is Talica and Tiagra's very similar quality wise. The Talica may be the option being a little smaller and lighter. Would the Talica 25 be able to handle a 100Kg+ tuna or worth going up to the 50...

Hey Fisho's Currently looking to add some gear for next years tuna run, have been looking at a few different setups and just wanted some opinions of what you may have used and might recommend. Have done some research and narrowed it down to either the Talica 50, Tiagra50 or Saltiga 50, probably look...

Ensuring all the bones have been disposed.
Dusted lighty with flour, covered in whisked egg and coated in PANKO breadcrumbs.
Fried in a shallow pan making sure the oil is hot, 1 min max on each side.
Topped with salt, pepper and squeeze of lemon. All time best eating fish.

Re: Solo launching and retrieving
I used this clip and slightly modified it so I wasn't reversing a running motor. But getting the motor in gear will save a lot of time fiddling around and getting other boaties impatient. There are a few different clips on launching solo though. Good luck  https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=eLI...

Great report, WPB can be the greatest place to fish and the most frustrating at the same time. Good luck on the red.

The morning was a little choppy, however when it glassed out mid afternoon the water clarity was reasonable. Fresh squid was the bait of choice, but not a touch.

Nice report ChrisAbout, was out the same day, same ramp and same idea to target some gumbos. Mate and I went for the morning session and were back by 3, with the same result. Not a touch for most of the day, the weed wasn't helping the situation either. Gotta be in it to win it though.. A little wor...
