Re: A few trout caught before the weather changed..

Adrian. Not a lot of fish but better than sitting at home! Sometimes fishing when a storm is brewing can produce amazing results. The scenery with a black sky and lightning can be amazing too. I have a question. You now obviously have a go-pro set up. Which model did you get, what did it cost and wh...

Taponga River

After working over the weekend I headed out to the Taponga River behind Eildon to go 'boofing' for trout. A bit tongue in cheek but I enjoy all types of surface fishing. If I can't chase cod I might as well chase trout until after cod opening. The Taponga is a nice stream, with plenty of trou...

Re: Morning on the river

Nice yella Dave. Did it give you a good tussle on the lure? The silver isn't a bad fish either.
I'll have to get out there soon. Counting down to December 1 when I'll have a bit more time to wet a line.

Best Wishes

Eildon Stream Trout

I headed out yesterday arvo to fish one of the small creeks that runs in to Lake Eildon. The aim was to shake down my fishing tackle and camping gear in preparation for the many trips to come this season. Due to work and personal commitments I've been hardly able to wet a line since mid April. I als...

Great effort mate. 50 cm bass out of streams are a real buzz. One of this country's best sportsfish!

Re: MEDIA ALERT - SILVER PERCH FOR ALBERT PARK LAKE

The fish are 'impressive' because natives are quite often stocked at only 25 mm long. Stocking at 100 mm will significantly improve survival and reduce the time for them to get a decent size. It might have been a poor choice of words but I welcome the initiative. I'm still waiting for VFA to back of...

Yarra near Healesville

After many months I finally managed to get a few hours fishing in last night! I had to get the truck serviced and just in case they got it done early I threw some tackle in the back. They did get it done early so I picked up a couple of packs of worms and headed over to the Yarra. I managed to pick ...

Re: 50 years ago this December .....

I think the video is brilliant. These were the first humans to see the earth as a ball in space. In the video you get to here what is was like and how it affected them. They forgot to mention that on the first day out Frank Borman was sick from zero G. He vomited and much of it floated around for th...
