Re: SITE UPGRADE - Please be patient

It's still looking pretty messed up from my end. Maybe it's no longer phone friendly, must be some upgrade, hope it gets resolved soon. I miss this site already ;-)

Go pros are not high tech enough, only old VHS quality cameras are capable of filming them.

Re: The Australian Yowie

Could it be big wild boars?? They can make loud roars with piggy sounds and when they're pissed they'll charge n break branches. I'm not a Yowie believer as I think if they do exist they would've been hunted down by now with modern day tech. Peoples spend all their lives chasing mythical creatures o...

Re: Snagged Rig/tackle/lures

I've fished there before, 2 best rig that worked for me was unweighted rig where you put bait on the hook and literally whip it out and let it sink, this only works if pumps not working. The other method is float rig where you stop the rig just before it hits the bottom, this works great when pumps ...

Re: Soft Plastics

If you want a plastic fix, hit up st Leonard's pier or queenscliff harbour. Any minow style plastic or small paddle tail on 1/8 jig head slow retrieve on a max tide will see some action, although sunrise and sunset have been pretty productive for me. I've been going to Fergusons and Gem quite often ...

Re: Queenscliff harbour squids

I fished there once and I got told off by someone in a 'sorta' uniform, said no fishing around the boats. Only allowed in the channel. Is this true? Sounds like a lot of people fish there and no issue. Great catch btw, and great cooking. I assume you've encountered port security, I've fished there ...

Queenscliff harbour squids

Went for a quick 1hr flick down at the harbour just before sunset, picked up few nice squids walking up and down along the boats. Dropped couple nice ones, got just their tip of the tentacle on me squidjig. I did spot a few school of trevaly cruising around and a few small Ray's sitting on the botto...

Re: Being friendly to animals

I went for a quick flick one night at a beach near mordialoc and to my surprise there was a pack of Fox growling at me from behind the Bush. There must be atleast 8 of them, few Cubs and the big ones all together. I ran so fast my flip flops broke off, wasn't a very pleasant experience at all. Lucky...

Lorne pier squid n yakas

Went for a quick flick last night at Lorne pier, first cast and I was onto a nice squid. It was pretty much a squid every 3 cast there on till I bagged out. Then I switched to small plastics and was throwing them just straight down along the sides of the pier and was having a ball on the yakkas. Was...
