Had a little (18-20cm) Salmon this morning at Beaumaris Yacht Squadron. Float fishing with some old whitebait from the freezer.

Yes, you can fish within 5km of your home address, and be out for 2 hours. I'm in Cheltenham, so tried Beaumaris this evening and tomorrow Karkarook Park.. Action shots to follow... Daz.

There are no carp in Karkarook...only EPs, redfin and rainbows.

I was at Karkarook last Sunday, and saw a chap with a 30cm Carp and a trout in a keep net. "They're Here!!!!"

Paid an visit to one of my favourite tench spots this morning. As always, tench fishing over winter shuts down but now, with a bit of warmer weather, today seemed like a good day to see if any tench were out and about. It was a slow start but eventually a few feeding bubbles showed next to the weed...
