Jucfishing never fished your side of the state but have fly fished a lot I would be using nymphs this time of year for a beginner the insect hatches when its warmer is great for using dry flies to catch plenty of fish on red tags royal wolfs.

Have seen how the passion for fishing gives someone purpose, drive and motivation has shaped them as people.

Location is one thing then know how is something else. The problem with added pressure on spots is either boat traffic/noise or people on the bank spooking fish the other issue with land based spots is overcrowding of small spaces. Nice I use that size reel for squid and whiting and pinkies on a 2-5kg rod


Thats the plan extra squid rod plus use it for flatheads on plastics and a bit of fresh stuff if I need a back up rod.

Carry a fast action 1-2kg rod paired up with a stradic in the back of my car. Alongside this is a few tackle trays full of an assortment of lures, leaders, pliers, knife and net.

Was keeping an eye on the wind all day decided to weed the garden instead wind would make for a hard drift is there swell wrapping around the cape stirring things up? Yeah it was hard to establish a good drift pattern with a strong westerly. A squid first cast then nothing after that. Bit of swell ...
