Re: Redfin locations? (Melbourne & Surrounds)
I'm a Taylors Lakes boy too! Never even thought about fishing there though... Hahah I experiment there from time to time. Caught eels from there at night, and 2 baby reddies on soft plastic lures (but not off the main jetty near the playground, I was fishing along the water down the path towards ma...

Re: Cornacarpio's Eclectic Estuarine Escapades
Hi mate just wanted to say I've been lurking your threads for ages and they're always a pleasure to read and I've been through most of your spots too (living in the west here as well). I'm freshwater usually but beginning to dip my toes in the salt as well. :super: I haven't had as much luck at the ...

Re: Advice - Cairn Curran
dont know but level was very low until recent times so dont know how well its recovered. It's recovered enough for fisheries to release 40,000 Murray Cod fingerling's yesterday. That might mean its short of fish then if they are topping it up that much. When there is a drought cairn curran and eppa...

Exact road locations and where to park would be greatly appreciated instead of the name of the lake Hi ...

Re: Day out at Lake Eppalock
Yep that carp made good food for the water rats hahaha. Got a small reddie as well on worms. A lot of carp about, wish we got more reddies. Was fun though until you lost your big fish in the snags :water:

Re: Lake Eppalock
Went today! We pulled up 5 carp and a small reddie. Lots of dead baby reddies floating in the water and washing ashore and some parts of the lake are closed off. Anybody know the story? Donutcrooks had 2 massive carp on the end of his line and they both ran him under the same snag, water was warm an...

Re: Lake Eppalock
Gday mate, i was there with friends back in the summer of 2011 and it had heaps of Algae growth but it didnt slow the carps and red fins down. We were fishing near a caravan park, just park the car along the bank n sat in the back hatch of our 4wd with a rod in one hand and a stubby in the other. S...
