In all fishing scenarios you are only as strong as you're weakest link. If at any time you have line being taken by the fish, you're drag is the most important part of the set up. Can't beat carbon fiber washers for strength and smoothness.

I have seen this happen at Patterson Lakes. Novices with brand new boat and tow vehicle. Took safety chain off and going down the ramp the quick release let go. Bumpy ramp and no idea!
