Re: Boat Storage 1 year

Thanks for the tips!

What about boat storage costs? How much does it typically cost to store under cover?

I know Wyndham is charging about $150 per month to store in an open secured facility.

Boat Storage 1 year

Hi! Might have to go away for some time. Was wondering what you need to do to get the boat storage ready for about 1 year? I was thinking : 1. Put the trailer on blocks? What other things are needed? I do not want to come back and find the boat not working or problems because it was left for too lon...

Re: Boat not peeing with Boat Flush Muff

Sturgeon have you read the owners manual instructions for flushing ? there may be a different / special way for your model ? Yes, I have. Also have seen youtubes. They all recommend static flush using the hose port with the engine off. I want to run the engine since it has not been run for 2 months...

Re: Boat not peeing with Boat Flush Muff

Thanks ALL!! The muff is new and still in package. The seal is good. But of course once the water is on, there is some water coming out. Should I try it again? Would I burn the impeller if there is no water coming out from the top pee hole? I will try taping the small hole in front of the rectangula...

Boat not peeing with Boat Flush Muff

Got these muffs from BCF to run the yammy 4 stroke motor during the lockdown. Got it early this year. But after 20 seconds or so with the motor on, there is still no pee stream coming from the top outlet. I have checked to make sure that there is adequate pressure in the hose and I also did a static...

Re: Deck Wash Ideas

Do you think a livewell pump could work as a deckwash?

https://www.whitworths.com.au/pmp-johnson-bait-kit

But just realized that this does not have auto on and off I suppose so that might be a little hassle although 500gph works out to 30+L/min which is more volume. Am I right?

Re: Dumb as DS

There are all sorts though....you have elderly wearing N95 masks and gloves all the way to those who don't care. But really, people in general are not so mindful, not just the elderly. Even if there are those who wear masks or gloves, they still end up contaminating themselves eg. not properly remov...

Re: Deck Wash Ideas

Noted. My is glass. Currently using bucket to bring salt water to wash the boat and hands. How do you use the freshwater from the can? Do you have a pump system or a hose system or just pour it out? I am wondering some kind of tank with some kind of wash might work. Ducky - any chance of photos of y...

Deck Wash Ideas

Thinking about a deck wash. Have done some research online. Not willing to spend much. Preferably less than $200 installed. Also not wanting to drill any holes through the boat. So looking at DIY options. 1. Freshwater flexible tank (100L or less) with inline 12V pump? Tank would also help with my w...
