Happy New Year Fishos!

Looking at heading out on Satdy 05/01/19 to wet a line somewhere between Geelong and Lorne.
Haven't been out for a while so just seeing what has been biting of late.
I will be fishing off the surf, any recommendations/tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much for all the info guys. If it's a shallow beach is there more of a productive beach I should be trying? Keep the tips coming I am writing them all down. It's all taken on board
