Ferguson St Pier
Anyone been catching anything off Ferguson St? I don't know whether it's natural variance, but fishing has slowed considerably for me since the weather has started to warm up. I was catching way more snapper (and other species) on plastics there during the middle of winter.

Fished Ferguson St at dusk (high tide was 1840) on Monday, hoping that the snapper were about. Picked up a 37cm flathead right on high tide, on the shallow side of the private marina section on a 2.5" Zman Grub in motor oil. No other bites in two hours.

Ferguson St Pier 02/09/18
Flicked some plastics around Ferguson St Pier yesterday morning from 0700 to 0900 (high tide was 0745). The bite started off hot with two snapper in 15 minutes, 36cm and 38cm on Zman 2.5" GrubZ in motor oil, fishing the shallow side of the private marina. I watched a school of about 30 snapper swim ...

Re: williamstown ferg st pier 09/08/18
Fished Ferguson St Pier an hour either side of high tide last night - first hour flicking grubs along the pylons for bream/snapper then the second hour bouncing slim swims along the bottom. Picked up one flathead at 44cm off the only bite in two hours. It's definitely not as active as it was a month...

Re: It's still worth going for a flick! - Winter landbased plastics - (Williamstown)
I've been out flicking small plastics off Ferguson St Pier a couple of times in the past few weeks. It's been a bit of species roulette with bream, salmon, mullet and snapper all taking plastics at one point.

Re: Heaps of Flatties around Williamstown
I've been off Ferguson St Pier a few times in the last few weeks. How do you all navigate the thin bed of muck at the bottom when fishing for flathead? Or is it not always there? I find myself getting frustrated after an hour or so of constantly pulling weed off my jighead and end up going back to ...

Re: Heaps of Flatties around Williamstown
Great vid mate.
What sort of action are you using for the flathead? I'm sometimes worried I'm going too aggressive.
What about tides and time?
