Boat ramp suitability in Central Vic.
Went on a bit of a drive yesterday to check out some nearby lakes and water storages near me. Tullaroop ramp is out of the water and i would suggest that unless you have a 4wd i would not attempt to launch here. Ground after ramp is reasonably solid, but having those two extra wheels as insurance is...

Re: Land based structures at Point Henry
Cheers guys. Sounds like more trouble than it’d be worth so I’ll give it a miss. Would be fantastic if they opened the warf to land based fishers, thing goes out a long way. Years ago they opened Point Cook pier to anglers on a trial basis. The pier was turned into a tip. The straw that broke the c...

Re: Big Bully Mullet
Used to see big schools of these fishing the Werribee river years ago.
The water used to literally boil there were that many.
Never managed to catch one.
In hindsight, you could of almost ran a net across the surface to catch them.

Re: Johanna Beach Report.
It's a shame you didn't fish it on monday when it was heavily overcast and a bit of rain. If it was sunny yesterday that's why you didn't catch much, particulary at the times you fished it. High or low tide at sun up or sun down would have been better, I love that beach Your right about my times no...

Johanna Beach Report.
Did a day trip yesterday to Johanna. Fished the incoming time from 10.30 to 1330 and an hour after that. Lots of small salmon, and I mean small. Baits were squid, pippy and chicken fillet. Every time I fish this beach it seems to get deeper! Had a surfer 100 yards or so from us enter the water and e...

Re: Experienced person at Portland.
Yup, that was my thought as well.
Have a marine mechanic who is going to do the fitting of the 9.9 for me.
He assures me that it won't be a problem.
9.9 weighs just over 30 kgs.

Re: Experienced person at Portland.
It all sounded pretty good till I got to the part that said "fanatical Carlton supporter" you lost me after that... :rf: You are obviously afraid to get an education from a superior intellect such as yourself. :gj: Ok the serious stuff, does your boat have an outboard well and what fish do you inte...
