Hey fellas, As promised for the reports competition on this forum well here it is. So headed out to station pier around 5:30 from home and ended up chucking my line out for the first time at 6:10. I can guarantee reports at least once a week, love the idea of the comp it’s giving me a bit more incentive to go out fishing more so thanks mate! In fact I’ll give one tonight on station pier because I’m heading out there right now lmao. If anyone’s around they’re free to join :gj:

Re: Live bait traps

I'm with Dougie, $105 for a plastic box with a hole in the top is pretty steep, I used to catch small fish in traps all the time as a kid with tupperware containers and 1L bottles with the necks reversed inwards, can't beat them, I'm thinking of catching some live mullet at lake tyers for big flatt...

As a lot of you already know I fish mostly at St Kilda or Port Melbo...

Re: Forum for asking Fishing Questions

Guys, any suggestions for a strong, easy and quick knot to use for my fishing hook and swivel? I do not want to use the patternoster rig as it breaks in the center quite quickly. Still chasing Ling, had 10 trips down at Sandridge but no luck Thank you for the help Agree that the paternosters break ...

Hey fellas quick question for the Port Melbourne fellas on the forum, have they finished renovating the pier and are we allowed to fish on it now? I’ve been up at station pier and it’s been going alright up there with a few nice size gummies and flatties. But seeing as it’s been over a year since I’...

Re: St Kilda pier

Hey guys thought I’d update on last night, I went from 8 till midnight and it was kinda worth it, I didn’t bother with the gars so I used chicken thigh fillets from woolies doused in tuna oil and only used the surf rod. I got 3 pinkies in the high 20s and low 30s mark and a decent flattie that was ...
