is it legal to use stockings/leggings to hold bait in hoop nets? ie. put small bits of liver into stockings and tie to the bottom of the net

i am in melbourne and planning a trip cod fishing this weekend (18/5/18) and want to buy a moderately priced swimbait rod befor then. any shops that sell decent priced rods or any for sale ? cheers

gday. as most people know lake mulwala will be run dry (down to 20% capacity i beleive) for maintenance in april/may. i am just after some info or advice about when the lake gets drained. i have heard that it is a good time to target big fish but i cant imagine how you would get anywhere near the wa...

G'day fishos I have just returned home from a week away up at Yarrawonga. Although the big cod eluded me around 80-90 fish were caught in 6 days. We fished the river 3 days and the lake 2 (full days) with night fishing on the lake in between Around 50 cod around the 35-55cm mark A few smaller than 3...

thanks for all the reply guys. the last day we fished we used cheese and got about 5 cod to about 11 on grubs.. cheese definitely did work!! and a lot cheeper. cheers
