Nice work :thumbsup: I fished a few nights ago from the wall and managed a nice unexpected 37cm KGW on a small circle hook with a pillie of all things. was a first for us at Brighton! So I believe they're around.

Fished Flinders pier this arvo til dark. I promised my other half that I'd get her on to her first squid after numerous donut efforts closer to home, so the stakes were high! Long time no post ;-) Been back at Brighton a bit lately, inc last night. Caught a few reasonable size pinkies amongst the tiny ones, but we've been catching a few large meaty crabs on a bottom rig lately which is something new as bycatch haha :banana: Anyone else pick these up regularly? End of Brighton wall in summer, caught many there on plastics. Beaches early morning before they head out deeper in summer, I've had luck close to frankston so I wouldn't see why they wouldn't be near mordi etc too. Just wait for the water to warm up a bit. I went out in the bay on the boat this wee...
