Re: Why use a leader????

People generally use a leader when fishing braid. Braided line is visible underwater. So to counteract that a short bit of monofilament line or fluorocarbon line is added at the lure end to make things a bit more natural. Re: Thoughts

The large clump in the bottom middle of the screen is a bait ball
Some predators to the right of the bait ball likely to be snapper this time of year eyeing them off and possibly picking off straying baitfish.

Re: More Brutes on Silly String

Guys,
Before this escalates any further.
I was reflecting on what Carl said about the difference in weight, between all the 60cm plus fish I have personally caught...
This last fish I got didnt have fat guts like some of the others did..

Re: More Brutes on Silly String

Just went back and had a look at the PB salmon i got. 67cm @3.9kg so certainly a bit of weight difference between them.
i measured this one with bathroom scales though, so not 100% sure on exact weight tbh.

Rapala tail dancer 11cm (TD11), dives to 30ft. Perfect diving depth for where I fish. Admittedly I haven't hooked a decent red on one yet, but I have caught a few decent frogs on them. I like em.
Thats the one i was thinking of.
