Re: eildon
The bloke at the eildon tackle shop is always straight up with me, tells me if the fishing is **** at the pondage, but I think it's fairly common knowledge it hasn't been fishing well for quite some time. I went into totally trout once and the bloke very nearly talked my ear off about anything and e...

Re: Yabbies melbourne
If the month doesn't have an R in the name then don't bother trying. Tackle shop would the go. Little guys only good for bait around 10 bucks for a dozen.

Fishing report at princes pier 8th July.
I took the tinny out on Monday around lunch time for a few hours and tied up to the pylons of the old princes pier deck, got a berley trail going with some mushed up bread, pilchards and tuna oil. 10 minutes later we had a school of small salmon between 20-30 cm smashing anything we gave them, I was...

Re: Eildon Report (sorry for the length)
I fish the pondage pretty regularly in trout season but usually only in the middle of day while im taking a break from trudging up and down river banks in the area. I've almost given up even trying to catch while I'm there, I usually go and grab some lunch and go throw a rod in powerbait or maggots ...

Re: Heading to Mornington tomorro
Been out in one of those hire boats twice in the last week and a bit. Caught nothing but flatties, most smallish but managed to get enough decent ones for a feed.

Re: carrum 0-mornington 1
I was there all day from 8 till 5. Came back in for lunch around 12 and headed back out. I only saw 2 other boats get rented and I spoke to the guys on both of them so chances are one of them was you. I ended up keeping 7 but I lost count of the amount I caught. Raw prawn meat worked the best.

I was there today too! Chasing flatties on one of the hobies they hire out. Was a good day.
