Also in the campaspe in central Victoria. I used to catch only reddies and carp and now yellas are more likely. Still plenty of carp around though.

Re: Lake Eildon camp/fish
There are also some free camping spots near the big river crossing on the eildon-Jamieson road. It’s not signposted, just a driveway off to the left just after you pass over the big river bridge as you head to Jamieson. Not on the lake and first in, best dressed.

Re: Lake Bellfield Halls Gap
I had a great session on the far side rocky wall a couple of years ago with a school of reddies. They were in close to the shore. It Is a bit tricky to get to as the shore line has loose gravel (yes I did end up in the drink). Def fish in there though. Worms as usual but did get a few on the old hog...

Re: Murray Cod and golden perch to be released into Rocklands!
Just checked the previous releases and there was around 300,000 of cod and yellow belly for the last couple of years. They will be getting bigger and with the recent rain there should be a good food supply this season.
Good times ahead.

Re: Flinders Pier Demolition
I was just there yesterday on the foggiest of days. Plenty of people on it but no luck for myself or anyone else as far as I could see. Still good to be out and about. Only lost one rig too. So that’s a bonus.

Don’t forget chucking out a little bit of berley from time to time. Tiny bits of bread and/or corn.

Re: Land Based Fishing in Port Fairy
As per charles7 said. I was there September 2019 and the boardwalk was pretty good for a bunch of stuff. Mullet, bream etc. I did spend one night at the end of the breakwater with the surf rod and got onto a monster eel and lost plenty of bait to some other stuff. I’m a bit lazy so just used chicken...
