Re: Line twist

What I do when river fishing and get some line twist when using inline blade spinners is to take the lure off open the bail arm and let the line go with the fast water flow.. leave it in the fast water for a few minutes then rewind it back through the fingers as to put it tightly back on the spool.....

Re: Fast water trout fishing..

My target at the start of the season was 600, now looking at 500 plus which won't be too bad.. The rivers I fish haven't really fished all that well this season.. One has improved late in the season, but the Mersey River hasn't done a thing for most of the year, lots of complaints with the river fis...

Re: Fast water trout fishing..

Wow truly trout heaven over there! Well done! Do you find the trout are easier to catch in fast tumbling water? Or slow deep pool? Thanks Seb85, I've always been one for fishing Medium/fast water runs as that's where I've caught the majority of trout, the slower flowing deep pools I do fish them on...

Fast water trout fishing..

Pushed the old body to the limit yesterday spending a tough 3-1/2 hours fishing a fast water stretch of river. It's one of the hardest fast water runs I fish and wasn't sure if I should give it a go or not. Mainly because the day before I had around 50 injections in my lower back, both hips as well ...

Re: Pirtek Challenge, trout just not large enough..

Thanks smile, seb85 & Bill,

yes they're slippery little suckers for sure.. I remember those tilt games too, also had one that you had to roll the balls into small holes as well without tipping the others out of..

cheers

Re: Pirtek Challenge, trout just not large enough..

Adrian, a damn good session Doesn't look like the Meander, but I could be wrong Cheers Gra P.s. congrats on 400, although down on previous years Thanks Gra, it is the Meander, but it's an area I don't fish as often as I used to as it's very tough on the body. it's also an area that normally gives u...

Re: Pirtek Challenge, trout just not large enough..

More prize money for the mystery length so you are in with a show! The pic taking on the brag mat can be difficult. The fish is always going to move but without a lip on the zero of the bragmat, it can be difficult to 'zero' the fish. I guess they try to keep costs down so it is as it is. Great eff...

Still a top session mate. 15 browns from 19 hook ups can’t complain!!! Is that a new rod and reel combo you just got? Glad to hear you were happy with both. Great pics as always! Cheers Thanks LX, yes it was still a good session & yes a new rod & reel set up I've been trying out.. well balanced lig...
