Re: Back in lockdown again.

Just to put it in perspective 0.0000027% of Victorians tested positive to covid today and tiny percentage of those will be seriously sick let alone die, 6,700,000 are in a lockdown as a result. At this stage the fear is of what the bogie flu could do not what it is doing atm

Re: Back in lockdown again.

The titanic is sinking and still people argue about the safety compliance certificates of the available life rafts. Re: Back in lockdown again.

If there are any easings it will be purely be to help business to survive rather than any personal freedom of movement. It is the rapid spread from one local to the next that is a massive issue.

I still think its only a mater of time before a decent outbreak that happens in WA

Not vaccinated, then no overseas travel, no school admission, no work opportunities, no social security yada yada Already people are being told if your not vaccinated then find another job (in a more polite way) yep already talking about restrictions being eas...

Re: Back in lockdown again.

I think the overall policy is now shifting to tying restriction relaxing timetable to vaccination % rather than case numbers. A realization that elimination is no longer achievable. Even in Vic, zero is gone, and would be fleeting if achieved. So I doubt state will 'open up" on 2 sept, maybe slight ...

Re: Back in lockdown again.

I will agree though as a larger and larger percentage of the population is fully vaccinated there will be increasing reluctance to comply as they wont feel at risk to themselves or to most people they know who are also vaccinated. Which may be why UK opened up earlier than the 70-80%

Re: Back in lockdown again.

I don't understand, if we are fully vaccinated then why can't we just go about doing our business but still social distance and wear a face mask as extra protection but atleast we open up. There's alot of antivaxers and non covid believers who are kind of ruining things for everyone that's trying t...

Re: Back in lockdown again.

So if Dan decides the screws need to be tightened further what else can he do? Ban or reign in exercise? Close takeways? Limit number of days you can go to shops. Restrictions of public transport. If it creeps any further up I am sure he has more tricks planned. Hes not going to sit back and rely on...
