Re: Nearly Drowned ?

It is a good river to fish early season which I do quite often but it's been running way too high for my liking since the trout season started.. So I'm keeping away from it until it drops at least a meter, it's running at 1.68 meters at the moment.. it's also has a very unstable slippery rocky river...

Bay trout, even. Trout if there's somewhere accessible and super close. Any suggestions? I'm situated in the N...

Re: Gale force winds, not a day to be in a river...

Thanks guys, yes it was still good to be able too get back into a river a chase a few trout..

It's a bit cool here this morning after some overnight snow.. this means the rivers will also rise & water temps will drop again and shut down the trout...

cheers

Gale force winds, not a day to be in a river...

Gale force winds, not a day to be in a river.. 14-9-18 With the Mersey, Meander & Leven rivers still running very high and a day without rain plus a temperature of 15 degrees had me heading off to the tannin water for a spin session after a nine day lay off. Until the larger rivers drop to a saf...

Re: The great 'monster' trout debate!

I would be happy to catch one but I still don't see why we are not stocking natives.
