Re: Sugarloaf
The place isn't very well signed at all. I've spent only one morning there but have read some very good reports over the last year or so.

Re: Surf Spinning Rod
I have the 13 foot nitro, which is WAY to big for a light and mobile spin rod, but the quality is absolutely amazing and if you can find a 902 (they do exist) Nitro messiah I would seriously seriously recommend it. The Catana is absolutely suitable for 99% of the spin fishing you will do in a Victor...

Re: Quick Barwon sesh
Actually trev me too mate, had some massive success there with Soft Plastics and metal slugs on flatties and salmon. Was a northerly westerly wind so I was getting smashed by that which led me around to Sheepwash so the wind was at my back. This is probably the first time i've ever been to the Barwo...

T shaped Jetty 100 metres to the west of the boat ramp. Tuna oil soaked chicken fillet, running sinker, tiny circle hooks. Burley was tuna oil and breadcrumbs, worked a treat.

Re: Quick Barwon sesh

Quick Barwon sesh
Hit the Barwon this evening from 2 until dark. Not a touch on the lures. Picked up a trevally, half a dozen undersized salmon and 20 odd mullet on chicken and tuna oil. Burley worked a treat and now have fresh baits for tomorrow morning!

Re: Devils Bend
LadyK recently moved about a 5 minute drive away. I've been doing some running / sprints down there in the evenings, I have not once seen any sign of a fish, let alone a fish actually being caught. Make the drive to Mt Martha rocks, or mornington, or blairgowrie. This place doesnt' seem to be worth ...
