Yeah, best advice I was given is the fish aren't gonna catch themselves. The more time you spend fishing the better the chance of catching fish you have

Cheers mate as I said wasn't aware to bleed them. This week alone I've caught a whiting, cuttlefish and the salmon for the first time ever

No I didn't bleed it when I caught it. I did take it straight home to clean/gut it though... Seems like it should taste amazing since I didn't bleed it.. Wasn't aware you needed to do it straight away oops!

Haven't weighed it or measured it yet. I'll do it when I finish work before I cook it... Any suggestions besides smoking... Apparently from what I've read not the best tasting fish going around...

To be honest it didn't put up much of a fight at all. When I hooked it thought it might have been a pinkie but once I got it to the pier I was surprised was worried it might snap my line but it didnt

Went out last night caught this monster salmon off the pier. Got another 3 squid... Gotta admit the bug is well and truly in me!!! Good times and great fishing happy days fellas!!!

Went out this morning again and ended up taking home 1 nice sized squid threw back another 4 or 5 to catch another day. Gotta say all the research is finally paying off. Been out 3 times this week and each time come home with something!! Can say that I've definetly got the bug!
