Re: Fly members
Hi Dave, I can't see from the photo but it looks the deal. I personally like snake eyes rather than rings. Look just above the handle and it should give you a 'rating' - a # number. Match the rod +1 with the line. So if you have a #6 rod, match it with a #7 line. Ask a specific question if you want ...

Re: Cornacarpio's Cumulative Carp Culling Caper
Haul from TNA yesterday in 2 hours. I'd have culled more but my 3 slices of bread was from Sunday and too dry. I'd say this is now the typical haul from TNA - tiddlers with the occasional 1Kg fish. No sign of The Colonel. It took me ages to arrange the fish to look as though I'd just dumped them on ...

Re: Cornacarpio's Cumulative Carp Culling Caper
CC - planning to mooch up there tomorrow morning, joining me? For those interested, I caught a blue throated wrasse at Invie on the w/e, safely returned as I didn't know what it was - that's the 11th estuarine species a tyro like me has caught in 10 weeks, and I still haven't hauled a bream in from ...

Re: New to fishing...have a question?
Yep, you'll always catch more in a boat than on land, but that's just the way it is. However, I would encourage tyros to make a few basic notes for future reference always. You'll be surprised how often conditions repeat and you can therefore try something different each time until you work out the ...
