You are permitted to have 4 lines in the saltwater, only 2 in fresh.
If I go to Wyndham Cove breakwater, I take 3 rods, 2 with bait and one with lures, mainly incase the salmon come past (it's never happened to me though).

Caught a 4ft & fat saltwater eel at Bemm River
I've had freshwater eels and they're ok, so how bad could it be ???
