Then went to whiting grounds and caught 32 of KGW. Mussels and squid did trick. I tried worm which attract...

Re: Squid reports
Yeah OK thanks. Its funny I caught a few with just jigs and not added weight at morno but lately the added sinker has kept jig down where they've been. But your saying jig alone did the job. That's fishing for ya lol .I've gotta get some new jigs today and might head down tomorrow

Thanks for feedback. Gonna try Latrobe river next week. Any recommendations on lures for trout to chase. Going to stick with bait and float but want to reel lures also.

Re: Squid reports
Nice squid. Did u use a float rig or sinker on bottom or just jig alone? I've been using sinker to keep jig down at morno but want some bigger squid so may try sp or flinders

Re: Easter Tarago river report
Thanks for tip. I'll pick up some lures over weekend. I'll stick to float and worms but will try flick some lures also. Is it a better technique to reel fast or slow with the retrieve for the trout?

Re: Tarago River and general advice
Thanks for that advice. Its funny you mentioned crayfish. The park owners told me that one year the park woke up to find crayfish all over the place. The river had supposingly over flowed. If I wanted to get crays I'd need netting I suspect. No experience in that lol. Yes early morning is what I'll ...
