Port welshpool or lakes entrance January?
Hey. Planning a lb fishing trip early January next year. Not sure whether to go to port Welsh or lakes entrance. Had good success same time this year at port. Went to metung and LE surrounds with not much success in September 2018. I've heard of good fishing in LE but no idea of what LB spots are Go...

Re: Reel and a line class for strong currents
Thanks for that. Yes I'm getting a heavier snapper rod. My current surf rod I think is only 5-10kg. At welshpool I cast out facing snake island for snapper, fatties but line kept dragging down current. So if I get heavier rod like snapper and use a heavier line like 30lb and sinker hope that helps k...

Reel and a line class for strong currents
Hi guys. After some advice regarding land based fishing strong currents such as those at port welshpool. Last time i was there the current was real strong and sinker wouldn't stat still. I was using I think 20lb line and I think size 5 star sinker. Any suggestions. Should I use a heavier line or dif...

Winter Charters ppb or wp
Hi guys,
With the weather looking OK for tomorrow, I was wondering which charters are going out at this time of the year. I know reel time are chasing tuna at the moment but was wondering who else may be out for whiting, squid and general.
Cheers

Re: Inverloch/Venus Bay July 9-10
I got them on pippis but there was a guy using raw chicken fillet and catching them aswell. I used simple paternoster. They did fight hard and I was using lightest rod with 8 pound line as well. Yeah it was hard seeing the kids get snagged twice whilst others and myself were catching. Also yesterday...

Random Fishing joke
Not sure if any have been told similar but here goes.
What is the difference between a land based fisho and a boat fisho? Pretty simple... One fishes from land and the other uses a handicap

Inverloch/Venus Bay July 9-10
Hi guys. Just got back from inverloch and Venus bay. Went early yesterday morning and arrived at inverloch jetty at 7am. Pier looked a bit busier than I expected for winter and thought there must be fish around. I was right. Trevally madness! They pretty much fired from when I got there until 11ish....

Re: Inverloch/Andersons Inlet - This weekend 6/7?
Thanks for the info and pics mate. Looks like a treat of a spot once you get there. I can see on google earth the deeper gutters look accessible by land around the inlet side as well. I'll see how I go and posy when I return. How long was the walk roughly?
