got some nice flatty from gardners channel in westernport last week. 46 - 55 cm. Not massive but nice all the same

im going by boat off flinders on monday. Never fished for squid before. Im gunna try a silver whiting under a float. how far under the float should I set the bait?

I used roast chicken leftovers, mainly the breast and got some bloody big sweep.

The sweep actually only ate the chicken. wouldnt touch the squid pippi or mussle

beauty mate, thanks for ya help. Im sure the flinders area would be similar to portsea. plenty of rocks and sand down that way... Ill let you know how I go when it warms up
