I used a green 3.0 kmart squid jig, bagged out few times and the cloth is torn up but I still manage to catch squid on it somehow. It has retired since and now been replaced with a much more expensive brand that does just as well. I think if you locate a good area where squids are congregating and ...

Welcome mate, why don't you try fishing off Altona pier or Williamstown? Theyre both short distance from where you are and can produce some amazing fish. Anyways goodluck on your trips, hope to read some reports from you

If your out of sinkers you could always use nuts n bolts or old spark plugs. Seen few guys use them and they worked fine. Atleaste you gave it a good crack mate, better luck next time
