Re: Carp Diem

I used to get in there two ways (this was 25 years ago so entry might be different now!)Firstly down Chambers Rd. Re: Carp Diem

Head north about 800m and fish Kororoit Ck near where the train crosses over. I used to fish it religously and pulled many stonkers out of there. Traditional waggler float with maggots for bait was my way but my mates got em on running sinker and corn or worms

Re: Fishing Maribyrnong river at Brinkbank Park.

When I say outside of Brimbank I mean areas like Arundel Rd and also under the calder Hwy. And also near the Quarter mile bridge ( Dont know if this still exists!)

Re: Fishing Maribyrnong river at Brinkbank Park.

Ben, I grew up fishing the Nong and Brimbank Park many moons ago and used to fish it coarse style. I fished it all year round and found that the carp wouldnt start biting until mid Oct. Plenty of eels in September but if I did get carp at this time they would be a good size. As Sebb said burleying i...

Re: Burley Bags

Make up a housing the length you want out of 100mm PVC pipe, fill it and freeze contents.
Empty the frozen log into a vacuum seal bag and vacuum seal. Burley logs ready to go
