Soft plastics for Rainbow Trout?

... anyone have a suggestion for this? The ones I fish for are usually around the 25-30 cm mark. What jighead and soft plastic should I use? I fish at Karkarook lake the most. I would much appreciate a helpful reply. Cheers. :fish22: :water: :fish22:

Try Karkarook lake in Moorabbin there are plenty of redfin in there and you may pick up the trout as well.

Re: Karkarook tomorrow, Rig help needed

Trout in there aren't that fussy. 30cm leader is all you really need. Don't need fluoro, mono will do fine. Ive caught them on 15lb mono. Loose lines. Leave a lot of slack, when you see the line go straight then gentle lift and you should be on

Re: Karkarook tomorrow, Rig help needed

I've got powerbait and a size 10 trebled hook, also got corn and some SPs. No 4lb fluoro the lightest ive got is 8lb mono, hoping I can still catch something, Will it really matter ?

Re: Karkarook tomorrow, Rig help needed

running sinker rig. tiny sinker to a small swivel. 1m of 4lb fluoro or lighter if you have it. size 8 hook or smaller. powerbait and/or corn. the powerbait will then float 1m off the bottom away from snags/weed
