Soft plastics for Rainbow Trout?

mate my pick would be Karkarook park is stocked with trout for school hoildays tons of free parking , public toilets plenty of room for the kids to run around when they get bored goggle earth it also has redfin,tench and carp and stocked trout are pretty easy to catch

Try Karkarook lake in Moorabbin there are plenty of redfin in there and you may pick up the trout as well.

Trout in there aren't that fussy. 30cm leader is all you really need. Don't need fluoro, mono will do fine. Ive caught them on 15lb mono. Loose lines. Leave a lot of slack, when you see the line go straight then gentle lift and you should be on

I've got powerbait and a size 10 trebled hook, also got corn and some SPs. No 4lb fluoro the lightest ive got is 8lb mono, hoping I can still catch something, Will it really matter ?

running sinker rig. tiny sinker to a small swivel. 1m of 4lb fluoro or lighter if you have it. size 8 hook or smaller. powerbait and/or corn. the powerbait will then float 1m off the bottom away from snags/weed
