Re: Budget high speed spin reel ($80 - $120) for casting metal?
OK I see that the quantum Smoke seems to have a deeper spool being listed at 200yd @30lb braid. I was tossing up the spool size of my Penn Battle II 3000 vs a spare 4000 Sienna I have. Looking more into it the Penn (6.2:1) is 250yd @15lb braid and sienna (5.2:1) is 265yd @15lb braid so I reckon I'll...

What sort of minimum line capacity should you ideally have for a beach salmon spin reel? Assume capacity based on 15lb or 20lb braid

Re: Moving to Docklands - Looking for Advice

There should be enough people able to give you some advice, but maybe one that hasn't come up on here but you have probably seen on Instagram - is that there are some cracki...

New native water day trip
Sunday Sebb and I headed out for a Native session, this time venturing to explore new water. The day went something like this: I got up to the general area first and with some points of interest in mind, I started to explore what the water and access looked like in person. After a couple of moves I ...

Re: 5ft6 1-3/2-4kg spin rods
I pulled the trigger on the ugly stik carbon 562 2-4kg which it's casting range is 2-7g, so should hopefully be light to hold but have a bit of backbone while being flicky for light lures. Link to rod specs below but actually bought from Dinga on sale for $109 + free and quick shipping as always fro...
