Re: which shimano stradic
the aero ci4+ comes in 4.8:1(4000) and 6.2:1 (4000xg). they also have a wider spool = more line retrieved per turn This. Going by ratio only is fraught with disappointment. If I was after a surf spin stick the Aero would be the numero uno and only Shimano reel on my to buy list. As for ci4 strength...

It was chokkers, definately ripe for some ramp rage. That's not the half of it at times. This is a few years old, and it was appare...

Re: queenscliff and the rip
Been an odd season locally. Thankfully there's been thumpers with not many rats mixed in.
If I had time available I'd be avoiding the crowds out west and hitting Scott's territory a little bit to the east

Re: Netters at it again
Ofcourse they're smashing as many Whiting as they can. Licence renewal is April so those having their livelihood destroyed are going to target as many of the highest priced fish they can until then. You think they'd give 2 ***** a few seasons might be tough for recs because they went twice as hard a...

Re: A goodTackle shop please
No one shop will have absolutely everything you want in stock down to exact models. Compleat Anglers and some tackleworlds in the east/south east suburbs have probably the biggest ranges of stock. Of the independents Aussie Angler is a great little shop. Southern Sportsfishing too. Gone Fishin. Mons...

Try the fine worm hooks from mustad. Hook up rate is phenomenal. Don't run to tight a drag though as they're fairly easy to straighten out

With some care and attention, the little Hobies will get you back safe if they screw the weather forecast like they di...
