Has anyone had any success in using softplastics at night off the Piers?

Was thinking to give it a crack, but would love some input or ideas on viability.

The most I have done is hooked a big on on a small shrimp soft plastic. Here is the video of my attempt https://youtu.be/oAGLzX9eEEs Super bad at editing.... but you hear it haha.
