Re: So is Mornington pier wrecked again?

Seriously? Im not surprised, it was blowing its head off. I popped down to the local pier to grab a coffee and it was like a surf beach. But honestly, if you are going to put wave breakers on that pier, you need to design it with 40knot winds in mind.

Re: Anchor setup for WP advice

I have a sarca, with about 10mtrs of chain on a 5.3mtr quinnie. Never had an issue with it not holding. Generally if you have a good chain length and decent anchor if it's not holding you need to let out more rope.

Re: How hard do squid fight?

Yeah, feels like a snag, that then starts pulling back the other way. Once they get 1.5kg+ they start pulling string and really giving you a bit of stick, but it's totally different from a fish.

Why not go find out for yourself!

Re: Show us how you eat it!

It’s nothing like scraglors amazing stuff. But currently on holidays up through central/northern Queensland. I bet the big 4 electric frypan hasn’t seen a meal as tasty as this seafood paella I threw together for the misso’s 30th birthday dinner. Coral trout. King prawns. Calamari and mussels made ...
