Re: London Bridge/ portsea surf beach.
The cheapest and most succesful lure for the beaches, as we've found lately :D http://jmgillies.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/baitfish.jpg Brett, you are not wrong mate...if I had only one lure to take salmon fishing, it would be that top one....absolutely slaughtered them this arvo...what a lu...

Don`t really agree with all your points Fish Cador, I use 40grm plus lures all the time, (on sunday, both Brett and myself were using 65gram lures because of the crosswind and rough water), and even really small salmon will cane a relatively biggish lure, pure instinct with the little beggars. As fo...

Re: Leaders
I think sometimes the need to use fluro is over rated . I have tied my braid direct to the squid jig and still caught squid. It will be of more use when they are perhaps a little finicky. I know when trout fishing sometimes the trick is to go down to a lighter breaking strength line. Like from 12 t...

Re: Leaders
So Carl.. What types of leaders would you suggest using for squidding, or lure fishing?? I'm pretty sure that was the point of this discussion. Fluorocarbon Linesystems 8lb is my fave squiding leader. Same for soft plastics. Currently I`m salmon bashing, so 16lb line systems flour is the go. Connec...
