The biggest problem fishing the eastern entrance is not the fact it doesn't hold fish but the amount of boat traffic throughout a lot of reasonable days. Yeah this is a pain in the arse down that way. It’s pretty busy when the kings are on and every bastard is heading out to the pinnacle or the wre...

Id go outside of the entrance when conditions allow set up a drift around the craypots. Just make sure your not too close.

I use a storm gomoku rod its not a specialist squid rod does the ob for me. Its a versatile rod also use it for other forms of fishing
