shallow inlet salmon
Fished shallow inlet the other day and the salmon are definitely in. Started trolling about an hour befor low tide and we picked up our first salmon within the first 5 mins and for the next two hours or so it was on, roughly landing 20-30 salmon we lost count and keeping 8. All were pretty good size...

Australian salmon season 2016
So i havent been paying much attention lately too whats been going on. Have the school's of salmon made it to Victoria yet? Or are they about a month or so off ?

Yeh there are a few platypus in the tarago. Iv never seen one at picnic point but iv come across them a few km down stream. I caught my longest carp at picnic point went 90cm.

Walked up west tanjil last week, the river is still up a little bit but not to bad to wade. There are loads of small brown and rainbow trout out there at the moment, i caught over 10 in a couple of hours all on wildbait hard bodys sadly nothing of size, great fun tho. Good to see the river has a goo...

Iv got a pollycraft challenger 4.1 mate. With a 40hp merc on the back, 90% of the time out there ill be an the water snake tho.. yeh its going to get busy out there ! Which was always going to happen with the bass fishing geting so good. We were getting 10-20 bass a day last summer..

New rules are in ! 15 knot speed limit in open waters. 5 knots in the top end and near ramps. No restrictions on boat size or engine size ! New signs are already up and i think they are doing a public annoincment at the end of this week.. Cant bloody wait to get my pollycraft out there this summer w...

went out there last sunday, didn't get one bite or hit ! the bass are down real deep I think, probly wont be good bass fishing till next summer. i would go into your local tackle shop and have a feel of all there 6-7ft graphite rods, most rods between $70-$150 are practically the same. one thing to look at that most don't is how many eyelets the rod has, I wouldn't get anything that has less than 7 for a flicking rod. everyone likes somethin...
