I've been fishing the Yarra for about 20 years with my brother. We just loosen off the drag if more than a few metres away from the rods. There are plenty of contenders down that way in the river - pinkies, various sizes of mulloway, large bream and even larger snapper - any of those would take a ro...

I caught a Red Goat Fish in the lower Yarra once, as well as garfish from Sandridge Bridge area and a large (28cm) Tupong from Birrarung Marr area many years ago.
