Probably. I heard they've put in a big order of coat hangers and gaffer tape to hang 3 ton concrete wave blockers from
Mornington pier might have held together better if they had used gaffer tape...

Re: Gunnamatta 1-7-2017 Report

I fished from sunrise on Sunday on the falling tide. Pretty quiet, got 1 fish about half way down the beach. Plenty of bait fishos out.

Re: Gunnamatta 10 & 11 June

Nice effort. Gutters are pretty easy to pick up at gunna on a high tide, generally the darker water where the waves don't break as much and the water looks like its running out to sea. If you're still struggling to see them climb up the dunes a bit so you've got a better view of the beach.

Painkalac creek is worth a fish, you might be able to find somewhere out of the wind.

Anglesea River

Hi Guys,

Has anyone fished the Anglesea River lately (ie last 6 months)? I know there was a big fish kill there last year and was wondering if it was worth fishing or not as I'm heading down for the long weekend.
I'll probably fish Aireys Inlet as well.

Cheers.

Re: Removing restrictions on trout.

I understand the principle, but it's a bit simplistic to suggest the merits of trout are based solely on ecological considerations. Trout angling is a massive tourist industry and supports a number of regional communities. Stocking natives such as bass and EP's outside their natural range is no diff...

Re: nylon waders or neoprene waders?

In summer I fish in wading boots, gravel guards, skins and shorts. Wading boots and gravel guards are a great combo for warm weather and good protection from snakes. I used to wade bare legged but found skins or leggings under shorts much more comfortable as protection from scratches, leaches, mozzi...
