Re: Lighting Upgrades
No worries rb, And if your rig is alloy make sure you check the silicone won’t react with the he hull. My boat is a fibreglass job so a good prep clean is all that was needed. And you're right, if you wantto or have to, you can pull the blob of silicone away easily enough, but it does hold cabk s in...

Re: Lighting Upgrades
The Gunwale lights are glued in using the supplied tape. If this doesn't hold I may glass them in under the gunwale with thin strips of fibreglass sheet and resin or go with araldite I mounted 5 meters of led strip lights along the underside of each gunnel on my boat. I only used the adhesive backi...

Re: Max Load / Max persons
I theoretically agree with the previous posts about weight being the main factor but my guess would be the police would say it's whatever limit comes into affect first.
So if only 4 people are rated on the build plate ( and they are under 500kg combined ) I would say limit your people on board to 4.

Altona Gummy session
Headed out Sunday morning with my wife launched at 5:45 and went straight to out regular spot straight out from Altona in 9m of water. My missus got the first score on the board with a fat 42cm flatty. High tide came at 9ish and I got my first gummy shortly after that, not huge but well over legal l...

Re: Victorian Boat Ramps 2017
Apologies if this is the wrong place, just thought I’d save starting a new thread with a “hopefully” easy question. I might get the chance Saturday morning to venture down the south end of the bay and would like to know the best place to launch with a 6m fibreglass boat. The wind and weather look g...
