Well, if anyone is going to catch five good fish on a tough day.....
You certainly know your stuff Adrian. Great report as always.

Not much in it but I think I prefer catching Browns. They just seem to be a bit more challenging than rainbows. Would dearly love to catch a Brook trout though!

Re: goulborn river flow, Thornton
From my experience, 5000 megalitres is getting up there. The river will be flowing fast and highish. Still wadeable on the fringes and some of the usually shallower runs but the main current will be too strong and high. Fish will be holding close to the banks. For me, 3000 megalitres is the best flo...

Re: Lake Tyers Flathead
Yeah Purple been on FV for a while, just keep a low profile. Dazz, that flatty was caught on a black and orange blade meant for bream. Frank at Lakes Fishing and Fuel has these generic cheap blades, which have caught me more fish than the big name brands so I tend to stick with them. My mate was get...

Lake Tyers Flathead
Decent flathead from recent Lake Tyers trip.
Hard work, with a lot of casts between fish. Still, between the two of us, managed quite a few rat flathead in the 40-45 range as well as a couple of bream, a decent Luderick and some nice pinkies caught both by my mate.

Re: Thank you guys so much for your support!
So happy to see you snag a few fish FM! What did you get them on? Im sure I’m not alone, but I’m just a hopeless tackle accumulator (hoarder!) I’ve got stuff that has been sitting unused for 5 or 10 years and probably never will be. So time to rationalise and what better way to clear out stuff than ...
