Re: The last few weeks
There's no doubt that good photos can enhance a fishing report but they're not the be all and end all. Sometimes, if they're poor photos or photos taken to deceive or exaggerate the size of the fish, they diminish the quality of the report. I'm a very average photo taker and very often don't even ta...

Well Done Fisheries
I had a wander down to the boat ramp at the Brodribb River near Marlo this afternoon. A Fisheries boat pulled in and moored up at the jetty and the two Fisheries Officers made their way down to a bloke fishing near the end of the jetty. They began to question the individual and inspect his esky. It ...

Re: Shhhh!
Some interesting comments posted to this topic. I'm not a constant poster, even though I fish at least three or four times a week. I like to get out there and experiment a bit. Different baits, lures, presentation etc. Sometimes things work, sometimes they don't. I catch a lot of fish but most times...

Re: Covid Vaccine
Tried to book in here in lakes entrance. No vaccine available, no idea when it will be Myself and the missus are booked in at Lakes Entrance for our Covid jabs this coming Tuesday. We made the appointments about a month ago as here in Orbost no one is doing them or knows when (if ever) jabs will be...

Pimping The Tinny
A couple of years ago I bought an old school tinny, a little 12' Clark Cutter. Just big enough for me and an occasional mate and small enough to get into a lot of the backwaters where bigger boats can't get into. It was sound but very, very shabby and it's sat in the backyard ever since I bought it....

Re: Docklands 14/06/21
The docks bream usually fire up a few days after heavy rain. They will hang around the bottom this time of the year, used to do really well on them with metal vibes teabagging the pylons after dark. My best sessions have been when the water is like coffee This post contains a wealth of information ...

Sunday Arvo In The Surf
Sunday arvo here in East Gippy was a perfect day to be on the surf beaches. The beach of choice was Point Ricardo. Beautiful sunny weather and a rising tide peaking at dusk with plenty of good gutters. I spent the arvo with a light spin outfit flicking out small slugs and there were plenty of takers...

Re: COVID & fush stocks
Fished at Marlo today, not too cold but bloody windy.
It seems that no-one has told the fish that lockdown is over for now. They're still in iso. Not even a touch today.

Re: McLoughlins Beach
Pettmans Beach has been fishing well for salmon this last week. The only obstacle to catching them was the howling winds which made casting virtually impossible. A little further east has some massive shoals of salmon working between Point Ricardo and Cape Conran. To find them, just look for the gan...

Re: Lake Tyers
Since I can't go fishing I've been watching the water level rise in Lake Tyers thanks to the Caravan Park webcam. From my vantage point a few hundred k's away it looks like another break out could be close. To any of you watching from any closer, what do you think? There's a good chance of a break ...
