Re: Trout lures/flies discussion

I don't fly fish but my lures for any season on rivers are an assortment of Blue Fox spinners, and Rapalas in Brown/Rainbow colours but the Spotted Dog spawning colour is my favourite in Autumn. On the big lakes I mostly troll with the biggest size Tassie Devils rigged with single hook, with the Pin...

Re: Does anybody have an Idrive on their car?

You are on the money Tim. The lag and mushy feel of a turbo diesel launching is due to a number of things including intentional torque management by the ECU....the engine might well produce 580+ Nm of torque, but you certainly don't have access to all of it all of the time. When you think about the ...

Re: Baitcaster for light lures

All good advice above. Though if you're willing to double your budget, the Curado 70 is worth a look. I've had one for a few years and it does a good job of casting smaller trout sized lures or SP's.

Re: Is Fishing Allowed under newest lockdown measures

......unfortunately, my family's entitlement to feeling and being safe doesn't seem to be one that some people concider.... Ask someone in those long lines outside Centrelink offices and I think they would beg to differ. An awful lot of people's livelihood have been sacrificed already in order to m...

Re: Might Clarify a few things.

Right on the money skronkman. Think of it as your free 6 month trial of socialism. 6 million people on welfare and everybody under house arrest and the economy in ruin.

Re: Corona Virus Part 3

It's horseshit inconsistencies that are doing my head in. Just this morning, Lisa Neville health minister, announces that surfing is OK if you're local and maintain social distancing. How the f--k is this OK but going for a solo hunt or fish in your home range not? The ******** Andrews the other day...

Does a wallet really serve a purpose out on a boat? For me it doesn’t...
Well it does usually hold your boat and fishing license. Leaving your wallet in the car seem pretty dumb to me and only encourages the arseholes that like to break into cars.
