Port melb May 14 afternoon Daiwa Black Label v2 6102
Had to pick up missus after work, thought I'd stop by port melb for a quick flick for an hour or so 4:30pm-5:30pm. Didn't even bother checking tide etc. A lot of people as expected. Couple kayaks, two tinnies and one tournament boat sorta looking (you know, the low open deck with big outboard). Hear...

Re: The fishermen are acting like f-wits again. Nature is healing.
Nice report 4litres.. It can be frustrating out there sometimes particularly whiting fishing. People dont understand that they may be only 20 metres from you but thats still far enough even if you're on the tings. Sadly some people lack decency and common courtesy.. It's kind of like sitting next t...

The fishermen are acting like f-wits again. Nature is healing.
Today marked the first big trip on the kayak since the fishing ban ended and it saw a resumption of my war on garfish. They're usually pretty happy to hear from people who are interested in the work they're doing and have no stake in the journals that are restricting access to it.

Wipe Out!
I don't post on here very often, but thought I needed to share my near miss with the Member's. Went rock fishing on Tuesday of the Great Ocean Rd near Lorne on the Apollo bay side. Had a mate with me. Checked the tides beforehand, went to my one of my regular haunts where I have had good results bef...

Re: Newport Warmies
The mackerel has been in the freezer for so long it was kinda soft and mushy so I added the salt to toughen it up. Works great, otherwise it woulda just fallen off when we cast. I've done this before with chicken fillets and old pilchard too and it works wonders.

Re: Werribee offshore oil rig?
Part of China's One Belt One Road strategy.
So does this mean that landbased fishos will get access to deeper water off Werribee once the island is finished
