Went again this morning, knew the water would be murky but with the barometer and humidity going wild I thought it’d be worth a shot. Fished around eltham from 5:00 to 8:30 with mainly topwaters. Hoping to get onto my first brown this weekend Where are you going (river/lake)? Those mepps are fantastic for trout. I caught a few on my last two trout trips on the mepps. I thought the mepps spinners looked good, im heading to a couple little streams out near emerald, ill let you know how I go.

Well the reason trout are prevelant is because they live in a completely different environment(streams) to carp and cod. Although other introduced species are bad, carp are the worst for our environment.

I think you're the one that's actually missing the point here. You have to remember that carp believe it or not are introduced here, whereas in Europe, they are native. The carp fishery in Europe is managed well and is popular because they are a native fish, and are not detrimental to the environmen...
